LinkPak
What is LinkPak ?
LinkPak is a set of four applications that replace the built-in Date Book, Address List, Memo Pad and To Do List. They work exactly and look exactly like the built-in applications except for one major difference. Each of the applications has a "Link" button which allows you to link together entries from any of these four "Link-Enabled" applications. These applications read all of their information and save all of their information to the built-in databases.
Changes
* Version 1.7 fixes up a bug which on occassion would cause an error
message reporting that it had encountered a "Bad Category."
* Version 1.7 fixed a bug which on occassion would incorrectly report
that one of the LinkPak applications was missing.
* Hide/Show private record support
Installation
Simply Install all four "Link-Enabled" applications, the Link library and the LinkPak applet. The four link-enabled applications are:
AddressLink
DatesLink
MemoLink
ToDoLink
Also install:
LinkPak
LinkLib
Getting Started
To get started, simply launch the LinkPak applet. It will ask you if you would like to set the four application buttons at the bottom of your Palm device to launch the link-enabled applications when tapped. Tap yes.
Now close the LinkPak application and tap any one of the four application buttons at the bottom of your Palm device.
Tapping the round application button with the telephone on it will launch AddressLink.
Compatibility
Because the "Link-Enabled" applications do exactly what the built-in applications do, they are 100% compatible. The databases they save their information is EXACTLY the same ones the built-in ones store their information. After the 30 day demo expires and you decide you do not want to purchase LinkPak, you can simply remove the link-enabled applications and use the built-in applications without any problem at all.
Using the Link-Enabled applications will NOT interfere with synching in any way.
All of the additional link information is stored in a separate Link database named "Links:Silverware."
Future
Silverware is working with other software companies to "link-enable" their applications. One can imagine the pop-up list in the Link screen to include other applications in which you can link to and from. We are also looking for feedback from users regarding link-enabling other built-in applictions. The linking possibilities are endless with this technology.
LinkPak Demo Version
This Demo Version of LinkPak is fully functional! This demo version will allow you to use all of the "link-enabled" applications for 30 days from the time you first installed them. After those 30 days, the link function within these applications will no longer be available. At any time, this demo version can be unlocked and made a full working version (see Unlocking LinkPak demo outlined immediately below).

This Demo version of LinkPak can be unlocked with an access key allowing you to convert it to a full working version.
